Graduate Council and Student Involvement
Graduate Council
Graduate Council is a body of elected students, represents
all graduate students in university affairs and organizes
various social events to promote interaction among students.
Please contact the Graduate Council via e-mail if you have any
questions or comments.
Clubs and organizations
Besides student government, the Student Union offers more
than 120 clubs and organizations which may be of interest to
Rensselaer graduate students and their spouses.
For instance, you can take professionally-taught DANCE
LESSONS with the Dance Club. For a cost of only $35 per
semester, and you can take all the Modern, Jazz, Ballet, and
Tap lessons that are offered. Ballroom Dance lessons are $40
per semester. Martial arts professional instruction is also
offered in JUDO, TAE KWON DO, ISSHRINYU KARATE, and AIKIDO two
nights a week. The dues are $87.50 a semester for each form of
instruction.
Learn about these and many other opportunities at the
Activities Fair, held in the fall, at the Houston Field
House.
