Graduate Student Accomplishments

The Department of Mechanical, Aerospace & Nuclear Engineering (MANE) ranks in the top 20 departments of its kind nationwide.

Congratulations to Cristina Vigil Lopez ’10, 2011 GEM Female Fellow of the Year! At Rensselaer, Cristina pursued a Master's degree in Electrical Engineering with a concentration in Power Systems. Her GEM industry sponsor, the Johns Hopkins University Applied Physics Laboratory provided her with internship opportunities and funding during her GEM tenure, and Cristina now enjoys working there, where she has the opportunity to do what she loves each day.

Congratulations to December graduate, Fred Osoro ’11, who pursued his Master’s degree in Information Technology at Rensselaer. During his GEM Fellowship tenure, Fred was sponsored by Google, and his academic work focused on databases and intelligent systems. Good luck to Fred as he begins his new career in IT on the west coast.
