Graduate Academic Advising Resource Page
Improving the Quality of Advising
Presented on this site are tools for improving academic
advising. These selected topics may serve as quick
informational resources, or the basis upon which to begin a
serious investigation into the foundations of academic
advising. The contents of this page are only partially
representative of the many resources that support academic
advising in theory and practice. Additions to the page are made
monthly, and your content and format suggestions are welcome.
Please contact Dennis Gornic, Associate Dean, at
email@example.com on any matters you wish to discuss regarding
Access to Literature for Self-Study and Other Advising
This initiative will showcase existing and emerging advising
theories and methodologies to use as you wish. I hope you find
the resources convenient, interesting and useful.
Making a wide array of information available on advising
theory and practice to advisors may enhance their advising
potential, without compromising the traditional “Faculty-Only”
features of individual advisor style and preference.
