Spring 2017 Academic Orientation Seminar for all New Graduate Students and TA Training (for all new TAs)

Academic Orientation Seminar for Graduate Students (new students, including newly admitted Co-Terminals) – ADMN-6700, CRN 37372

Note: Students are required to attend the morning session on January 12 and complete an on-line portion on Rensselaer's Learning Management System. Please register for the course online through the SIS - (ADMN-6700, CRN 37372 Academic Orientation Seminar). Once you have logged in you can find the course through the Class Search (Subject – Administrative Courses; Course Number – ADMN-6700, CRN 37372) or through the Register Add/Drop page. The Academic Orientation appears on your transcript as a zero-credit required course (no cost) and receives a Satisfactory (S) or Unsatisfactory (U) grade which will be assigned at the end of the semester.

If you have technical difficulties with the on-line component of the academic orientation, please send an email to rpilms-support@rpi.edu and provide as much detail as possible including the name of the course/course number, RCS User ID, and statement of the problem. Note: the site is scheduled to be available sometime on Friday, January 13, to students who are registered at that time or within 24-48 hours AFTER you register for ADMN-6700.

All new TAs must attend the training program in its entirety. Registration is required – one registration covers all TA sessions. There is no cost to register or attend. The TA Training Seminar appears on your transcript as a zero-credit required course, and receives a Satisfactory (S) or Unsatisfactory (U) grade which will be assigned at the end of the semester.
