Academic Orientation Seminar: ADMN-6700
The Fall Academic Orientation for all new students
(including those in a co-terminal program) is scheduled for
Thursday, August 22, 2013 – campus building location to be
announced. Registration will begin at 8:00 am and the program
ending at approximately Noon.
NOTE: Students are required to attend the
morning session on Thursday, August 22, 2013 and also
complete an on-line component located on Rensselaer's Learning
Management System. More details, including a completion date,
to follow regarding this on-line requirement.
All new students (including those in a co-terminal program)
must attend the seminar and participate in the on-line
component. Registration is required (ADMN-6700) – one
registration covers both the face-to face and on-line
components. There is no cost to register. The Orientation
Seminar appears on your transcript as a zero-credit required
course, and receives a Satisfactory (S) or Unsatisfactory (U)
grade which will be assigned at the end of the semester.
NOTE: Please be sure to check with your
individual department for additional orientation activities and
to find out about your expected arrival date.
NOTE: International and Exchange Students
should also be sure to review the pre-arrival booklets on the

Services for Students and Scholars (ISSS) Website.

Teaching Assistant Training Sessions For All New Teaching
Assistants: ADMN-6800
Friday, August 16, Monday, August 19 & Tuesday, August
20, 2013 - Location and Times to be announced.
All new TAs must attend the training program in its
entirety. Registration is required – one registration covers
all TA sessions. There is no cost to register or attend. The TA
Training Seminar appears on your transcript as a zero-credit
required course, and receives a Satisfactory (S) or
Unsatisfactory (U) grade which will be assigned at the end of
the semester.
Please register for the course online through the SIS -
(ADMN-6800, TA Training Seminar,). Once you have logged in you
can find the course through the Class Search (Subject ––
Administrative Courses; Course Number) or through the Register
Add/Drop page.
